I ran across a few rolls of long expired Ektachrome film. Kodak quit making this very vibrant film in 2009 and fewer and fewer labs have the resources to process it. Fortunately there is a lab in Lansing, Michigan that can still process the film. I shot these with my Canon AE1 with a 1.4 lens.
I am currently working on a "Skull" series. These are a couple examples.
Had the opportunity to shoot another concert the other night. The band J. Navarro & The Traitors as they opened for Big D & The Kids table in Detroit. Was an incredibly high energy show which yielded many great opportunities for shots.
I am currently working on a project of black and white flowers. I find the shapes of the flowers and tonal variations of the flowers far more interesting than the color. I think when the flowers are shown in color the eye locks on that instead of the amazing shapes.
